As your next Mayor, I will fight to rebuild trust, unite our neighborhoods, and make every person feel like they belong — from the Native families who built this city to the newcomers seeking a better life here. It’s time we fix what’s broken and build a city where everyone is included in the process, not just talked about after decisions are made.

1. Restoring Trust and Rebuilding Communication

• Community Listening Sessions
  Host regular town halls and neighborhood forums across the city — from the Southside to Tesuque — where residents can speak directly with leadership and be heard.

• Community Advisory Board
  Form a diverse advisory council representing all neighborhoods, cultures, and backgrounds — locals, Natives, and newcomers — to provide direct input on city decisions.

• Transparent Governance
  End backroom deals and silence. Launch clear communication channels: monthly newsletters, a revamped city website, and social media updates that keep every Santa Fean informed and involved.

 

2. Advancing Equity and Cultural Respect

• Cultural Competency for City Staff
  Require equity and cultural sensitivity training for all city employees — from top to bottom — to ensure every resident is treated with dignity and respect.

• Policy Reforms Rooted in Fairness
  Audit and overhaul housing, hiring, and public service policies to eliminate systemic bias and build fairness into every city department.

 

3. Empowering and Protecting Our Middle Class

• Affordable Housing That Works
  Stop the exodus of working families. Expand affordable housing options, increase homeownership programs, and demand accountability from developers through incentive-based projects.

• Economic Growth for Locals First
  Invest in small businesses and local entrepreneurs. Launch training and job placement programs that lead to real careers, not just short-term work.

 

4. Celebrating Our Culture and Uplifting Every Neighborhood

• Cultural Celebrations & Events
  Honor Santa Fe’s traditions by hosting festivals, art fairs, music showcases, and multicultural gatherings that bring our community together.

• Volunteer & Mentorship Networks
  Create programs that connect youth and new residents with mentors, while also organizing volunteers to give back through city projects.

• Neighborhood Revitalization
  Invest in parks, libraries, public centers, and beautification in every part of the city — not just downtown. Every zip code deserves pride and progress.

 

A New Era for Santa Fe Starts Now

This is more than a platform — it’s a promise. I will lead with transparency, respect, and real action. We will no longer leave entire communities behind while catering to a political few. We will bring Santa Fe together — locals, newcomers, the unheard, the working class, and the dreamers.
